The transfer station has safety vests, for $1.25, and hard hats, for $7.00, available for purchase by credit card only. Sky Harbor Regional Transfer Station has instituted a new safety regulation that all residents are required to wear safety vests while at the Transfer Station and any visitors using dump trailers are required to wear a hard hat. Residential customers receiving commercial collection service (typical for large, multifamily, townhouse and condominium communities), as well as landscapers, contractors and businesses, are not eligible for this benefit and will be required to pay the transfer station disposal fee gate rate for any wastes delivered. If the load is over 1,000 pounds additional fees will apply and you will lose the free dump for that month.Ĭustomers are not authorized to have someone else dispose of garbage at the transfer station on their behalf. Please check with staff at the transfer station for the gate rate before entering. Amounts of garbage weighing more than 1,000 pounds will be paid by the account holder at the transfer station gate rate (disposal fee). Tempe Solid Waste customers receiving curbside or alley residential garbage and recycling collection service are eligible to dispose up to 1,000 pounds, in one trip per month, at the Sky Harbor Regional Transfer Station at no additional charge.Īccount holders must provide a paper or electronic copy of their Tempe municipal services bill and their driver license with a matching address.
